Manchester Home Show Autumn 2026 highlights: Hundreds took their next step
Share to Buy’s leading first time buyer event headed north, attracting hundreds of hopeful homebuyers
On Saturday 19th September, Share to Buy Live opened the doors of the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel for the Manchester Home Show Autumn 2026, welcoming almost 500 visitors keen to explore their home-buying options. From first time buyers starting their journey to growing families looking to set themselves up for the future, the space was filled with people seeking practical advice and real opportunities.
A sister event to the country’s No.1 first time buyer event, the London Home Show, which is celebrating its 13th year in 2026, the Manchester Home Show offered attendees the chance to speak with 20 exhibitors, including some of the biggest names in the affordable housing industry. Visitors also had the opportunity to attend a programme of expert-led live workshops and talks throughout the day.

In-person expert advice
Our exhibitors included sponsors L&Q and Plumlife Homes, two of the UK’s leading providers of first time buyer developments and affordable homes across the North West. A range of specialist housing providers, mortgage brokers and conveyancing solicitors were also on hand to provide free in-depth advice to those looking to take their first – or next – step onto the property ladder. Visitors could also learn about quality, affordable home-buying schemes, including Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and Older Persons Shared Ownership.
Throughout the day, attendees explored a variety of properties available under various affordable home-buying schemes to suit different budgets and needs, from city apartments to rural family homes, and even register their interest on the day.
Educational home-buying sessions
A programme of live educational talks and workshops ran throughout the day, designed to simplify the home-buying process and tackle common concerns.
These sessions gave visitors the chance to deepen their knowledge, clear up confusion, and feel more confident about their next steps.
