From curious to confident: Hear from the people who have been where you are.

For more than a decade, the London Home Show, supported by the Mayor of London, has helped thousands of people take their first step towards homeownership. Hosted by Share to Buy Live (the events sub-brand from Share to Buy, the country’s leading affordable homeownership portal), this free event offers guidance, clarity and confidence to those looking to get on, or move up, the property ladder.

Whether you’re just starting your journey, looking to upsize, planning to downsize or seeking an accessible route to ownership, the London Home Show is designed with you in mind.

But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what previous attendees had to say.

A supportive place to start your journey

For lots of people, the London Home Show is where the journey to finding their path to homeownership really begins. It’s a chance to ask questions, explore ideas and find clarity in a space designed for learning.

“I’m at the very early stages of being a first time buyer, so I just came to get as much information as I can about everything homeownership,” shared one attendee.

The event brings together experts in schemes like Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and London Living Rent, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, learn more and explore your options at your own pace.

Another visitor noted: “It’s a great event and a perfect place for novices, nervous and new, or existing potential buyers to get all the information, support and advice they need.”

Practical help from real experts

Home-buying can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to budgeting, legal steps and understanding eligibility. But at the London Home Show, support is everywhere you turn.

The event is packed with housing providers, mortgage brokers and legal professionals who offer free, tailored advice. For one attendee, it was this guidance that made a lasting impression: “I spoke to a mortgage broker, he was really informative, really helpful.”

Another shared: “It was just so great to have a one-on-one conversation with someone. It really helped me clear up, okay, this is what my option is, this is how much I can afford potentially in London.”

Inspiration and knowledge to take your next step

Across the event, you’ll find new homes available across London and the commuter belt, from stylish city apartments to spacious family homes. But what makes the London Home Show stand out is its genuine, education-led approach.

Alongside hundreds of homes and one-to-one support, visitors can sit in on live talks, Q&As and panel sessions.

“Yeah, it does seem a bit more achievable, speaking to everyone and other people that have done it,” said one attendee.

In spring 2025, over half of visitors attended live talks, with sessions covering affordability, the buying process, and a behind-the-scenes look at Shared Ownership through our popular Ask the Owner panels.

As one guest summed it up: “It was a very informative day.”

A one-stop shop for aspiring homeowners

From learning how to boost your mortgage chances to comparing buying schemes or discovering a development you didn’t know existed, there’s so much to take in, and so much value packed into one day.

One attendee commented: “Easy one-two-three step options available to get on the property ladder, from legal to moving furniture tips.” Another added: “It’s just really good to go and see what the developers had on the market at the moment and if anything was coming on soon.”

And it’s not just about the homes. There’s exclusive merchandise, event-day perks, and the uplifting energy of being surrounded by people who are just as motivated to buy as you are.
